MyCred Support – UserPro Forums https://forum.userproplugin.com/forums/topic/mycred-support/feed/ Sun, 05 May 2024 07:03:25 +0000 https://bbpress.org/?v=2.6.2 en-US https://forum.userproplugin.com/forums/topic/mycred-support/#post-36632 <![CDATA[MyCred Support]]> https://forum.userproplugin.com/forums/topic/mycred-support/#post-36632 Fri, 09 May 2014 12:41:09 +0000 Solosmith Hi!

We’ve got a really exciting selection of features ready to launch on our website but we’re missing a decent user account system. Buddypress supports everything we need but Userpro is in a different league.

Are there any plans to support Mycred? I posted on those forums also but it appears the developer doesn’t want to pay for the plugin in order to develop the support for it.

We’re literally 1 piece short of completing the puzzle. Is Mycred compatibility even on the cards or?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Mycred is a userpoints system as I remember, how would you like to integrate that with userpro?

Basically, everything MyCred can do with BuddyPress but with UserPro πŸ˜€

Link here.

Currently I Am Using Userpro. And I Have Set myCRED To Give Points Whenever Someone Joins The Site And Posts Something On My Site. It Does Happen, People Get Points When They Post As Well As Register. In My Opinion You Can Add Features Like
” Get Points For Completing Your Profile Information ”
” Get Points For Using The Frontend Posting ”
Userpro Lets People Register From Different Social Network
* Let Users Set How Many Points A Member Receives If He Registers From A Particular Social Network. Eg.
” Get 100 Points For Registering Using Facebook ”
Userpro Also Allows Linking Of Social Profile To A Single Account. eg.
” Link Your Twitter (or other) Account And Get ___ Points”
Userpro Allows To Verify Certain Accounts On Site
” Verified Users __% Extra For Posting Or Commenting” **
β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
Different Types Of Point Values For Different Types Of Accounts.
Suppose Someone Is A Subscriber At A Site He/She Gets Less Amount Of Points Then The Author Or Editors.

You Can Bring A Very Big Change. You Can Create A Complete myCRED + Userpro Dashboard Where User Can See The History Log, Can Change Options On Both The Plugins. Basically Making The Users To Do Everything In The Frontend. This Way Sites Get More Secured By Not Letting In People Into The WordPress Dashboard. You Can Also Add Payment Options. Like ” 1000 Points [I Am Using The “Points” As “Earning”] Members Can Add Their Payment Information Directly To The Plugin Dashboard And Then Request Payments Right From There.

1) Follow/Unfollow members. Userpro is bound to become a social script from the cues given by the UP developer including the upcoming update that puts more emphasis on the social aspect of it. This is an intrinsic feature of userpro and should be given priority.

(2) Award points for updating profiles, in a detailed entry log. Eg: X points for adding a first name. X point for completing your biography. X points for uploading a profile background images, etc.

(3) Awards special points for logging in using the social addon of userpro, including log entries for facebook, twitter and goodle.

(4) Award points for becoming a verified member.

(5) If you are also given the bookmark addon, award points for adding a favorite and deducting points if removed.

It benefits both authors

It’s not about standing up to anyone. Ahmed has done a great job in developing the plugin and has a lot of work. The only thing we can do is assist and make those connections for him.
