Hi there,

i need to modify the /functions/api.php function mailchimp_subscribe()

	function mailchimp_subscribe($user_id, $list_id=null) {
	
		$email = userpro_profile_data('user_email', $user_id);
		$fname = userpro_profile_data('first_name', $user_id);
		$lname = userpro_profile_data('last_name', $user_id);
		
		$objMailChimp = new UserProMailChimp( userpro_get_option('mailchimp_api') );
		$objMailChimp->call('lists/subscribe', array(
                'id'                => $list_id,
                'email'             => array('email'=> $email),
                'merge_vars'        => array('FNAME'=> $fname, 'LNAME'=> $lname),
                'double_optin'      => false,
                'update_existing'   => true,
                'replace_interests' => false,
                'send_welcome'      => false,

I want to change double_optin to true 🙂 , because for permission based emailmarketing it is recommended to have a double opt in for every user.

So how can i modify/override these functions to be updatesafe?

Hello ,
To be very honest different users need different options , some needs it to be true and rest it as false , what we can do is to add a option in the backend , so one can choose true or false for double opting .
I have added it to our wish list , which could be updated in our future releases .
