First of all it depends on your theme more than it depends on UserPro.
You can have a php code for your top nav something with is_user_logged_in() show Sign Out link, else Login/Register
And for the Login/Register use UserPro modal login/register. There is a tutorial how to make UserPro modal somewhere here on the forums.
Sorry I couldn’t actually give you a solution to your question but it is possible.
