Warning: Long post ahead.

I’m just now deploying UserPro to a theme I bought maybe two weeks ago (for reference, it’s Enfold, I think the second-biggest seller lately on Themeforest, for whatever that’s worth). Anyway, built into the theme is a “Blog Multi Author” which is attractive in its presentation and actually quite practical in conjunction with UserPro (in particular with Frontend Publisher–which you really should be selling as an add-on module! The “Blog Multi Author” dynamically posts a profile pic (from the upload in UP and and circular in design) and an “about the author” bit (from the bio in UP). While using another community plugin (which I abandoned because UserPro is so much cleaner and just plain better), I noticed that when I clicked on the profile image in the Blog, it would take me directly to the frontend profile. Is this function also available in UP? If not, I’m thinking that each blogger can add a link to his profile page in the bio section (allowing html). Is there another option I’m not considering?

The theme also has BBPress packed with it, which I have not yet deployed. Before doing so, do you see any obvious problem with UP integration if BBPress is installed this way?

I have other questions; but because I’d like to keep this shorter than a Victorian novel, I’ll stop for now.

Really, though: You should (re) consider offering some tools as separate modules. The extra work that’s going into UP is both obvious and remarkable.

Thanks

I’ll have to download an older version (2.4.1) so that it “fits” with the theme (and because I’m doing so much translating right now that I don’t have much time to take on the newer BBPress versions by myself, as no translations have yet been started). I would think also that your template tweak files in the BBPress Integration section here will be of great help. Thanks!

Example: Because the theme natively goes from blog to /author, I just redirected /author to /profile (location of the UP profile. I don’t know if this is “good practice,” but it gets the job done for those in a similar situation. (Moderators; Please fell free to heavily edit or even delete my post if what I describe is unsafe at any speed. Thanks.
