I just imported about 200 users with a different plugin. They all show up in the member directory and the profiles work properly, but none of them are searchable. It doesn’t matter if I search for the display name or username, nothing comes up. Is there any way to correct that?

Also what about other users. They seem to be only searchable by username. Is there any way to make the directory searchable by full name or display name? My site is for a club and people will want to search using real names to find other club members.

I found a shortcode option that lets me search by first name, last name or display name. Now I am able to find all members when I search for any part of their name.

Here’s what my code looks like…

[userpro template=memberlist memberlist_filters=first_name,last_name,display_name]

I also added a few search drop down boxes so that people can now also filter results by city and another custom parameter.

It seemed to be locking up my server. Searches were taking 5-10 minutes and even if I closed the window before the results returned my site wouldn’t respond for a while.
