Suggestions for front end publisher?
Change field order
Make fields required or not required
Remove fields
Add custom meta fields
Select any registered post formats
This is the current frontend publisher options.
First i want to thank you for this awesome plugin! Love it!
One suggestion for the Documentation. Are there any Shortcodes for the “postbyuser”-Template? How can i fix some details like the size of the images etc.? A full list of all Templates would also be nice 🙂
Are we going to get options for removing fields from the front end publisher and adding our own custom fields? Because that’s really what I need.
Hi,
I would like to point out one main difference between memberlist and emd shortcode: that the emd shortcode offers a design layout where the member picture is much bigger (equal to the rest) and the membership list has just a much smaller thumbnail.
I already tested all shortcode options for membership and I get the different member lists exactly as I wanted except the visual layout.
What can we do about it?
1. Making a membership version 3 layout which is visually the same what the emd shorcode outputs?
or
2. In-built the same shortcode options for emd shortcode as they are for memberlist?
or
3…
Ahmed, please advise on this. My client likes more the emd shortcode visual layout but the shortcode options are still not published in the docs and I don’t know if it is possible to achieve the highly customizable shortcode options which the memberlist has.
Giving directions regarding my questions is much appreciated as well as the emd shorcode options to be inserted in the docs.
Thanks!
@IDESIGNSTUDIO I think it’d be great if Ahmed gave us some examples of WP_query loops we could run to retrieve member list information, that way we could use our own markup.
The EMD shortcode will be documented in the very near future.
andy, I didn’t understand your question. Excuse me please. 🙂
Thanks Louis, It’s incomplete – and I’ll work hard on this part to make a more informative php docs for userpro.
Starting from v1.0.71 you can attach and collect POST META FIELDS with frontend publisher. See docs 🙂
Any way to change the main content field into a plain text field (like the title) without options for paragraphs etc?
And ‘Post type’ should probably be removed altogether unless there’s more than one value set, ie. post, page.
Hi Andy,
Taking these requests in consideration for next update for frontend publisher
Thanks Ahmed. I agree with central geek, you’re doing great work. 😀
For me, the front end publisher is the killer feature of this plugin, or it could be.
Great result is coming along!
Thanks, Ahmed, for all the hard work till now, the idea to start such a plugin at first, the devoted development and support and the open ears to everything we say.
Thanks to all the folks here, giving all their requests, because when it comes to perfection, without this fruitful combination of a devoted and friendly developer and a crowd that gives real usage feedback, the excellent product will never be achieved.
+1 for Andy’s request. Ahmed, what I understand is that he is asking for the basic level thing examples, so we can learn from them and we can hardcode stuff by ourselves in customized projects we are working on. Make our own templates, show pieces of information from UserPro here and there, so we are not dependent as developers on the shortcodes.
Cheers.
Hi idesignstudio, Yes I could not do anything without the customer’s support and feedback. Which stuff do you want to see in documentation now? I’ll spend some time answering support questions and then I’ll try to improve the frontend publisher as requested, and I’ll try to accomplish these minor updates to the plugin.
