Illegal characters are not allowed in username.

How can I fix it?

The person trying to register was using an email address. There is an option to use username or email, but you have to set it up before anyone creates an account. Otherwise, your database will have the login information stored under something like “user_login”. Then once changed to username or email, the database will not see the user_login anymore. If that makes sense.
