The shortcode entered to create the registration page is [userpro template=register]. I believe the shortcode for users to do what I am intending (if I am correct) is [userpro template=publish]. Question is if (again if I am correct) so, where would I put that shortcode?

Probably whatever page the user gets redirected to after successful registration.
