how can user publish posts from user profile?

Hi, I recently purchased UserPro but I am not sure how user can post from user’s profile page?? there is no option to post article or blog on user profile page.
Please suggest.

Hi @sweetgirl,

There are three things you can do. All of them involve placing the shortcode [userpro template=publish] somewhere.

If you want members to see the Post feature above their profile, then place the shortcode above the [userpro template=view] shortcode on the profile page.

If you want members to see the post feature below their profile, then place the shortcode below the [userpro template=view] shortcode.

The third way, if you are using a page creator such as “Page Builder by SiteOrigin” or “Visual Composer”, then you can place the shortcode [userpro template=publish] in any shortcode enabled widget on the profile page (This is only if you are using a page builder like what I mentioned).

Either way, that is how you give the ability to post from the profile page.

I installed “Page Builder by SiteOrigin” and placed shortcode [userpro template=publish] into a text widget on My Profile page and not only did publish form not show, but also lost profile form…

Did you place the shorcode for the profile into a widget? Your install may not allow shortcodes in widgets. You may need to install a plugin called “Shortcode Widget”. Use that widget to show shortcodes. You can use that widget multiple times in Page Builder.
