I want to let my users express themselves on their profiles. Maybe like the biography box but displayed differently. I’ve made a photoshop for illustrate what I mean :

What do you think about this ? I think it could be a great feature in UserPro, people loves feeling free to express what they want. Ultimately this space could support insertions of images and text formatting.

Thanks for your consideration 🙂

Even if it doesn’t make core, that would make a slick extension!

Ahmed is pretty keen to move towards this new design (you will still be able to keep current design if you wish), so I think it would be better to give him as much time as possible to work on this design. For that reason, I think it is not something he should spend time implementing. But that’s just my personal opinion ;).

Have a look at the design concepts I have created and you can maybe make suggestions in that topic if you have any!

Thanks

And you know what? Did you know that you can already use the existing hooks to provide users a place to express themselves? I mean you can already use that space to show their biography.

Here are available actions

do_action(‘userpro_before_fields’, $hook_args);

do_action(‘userpro_pre_form_message’);

do_action(‘userpro_after_profile_head’, $hook_args);

3 hooks to display your stuff before fields!! Woohoo?!! why do not you hook to them, you can do almost anything. Basically hook_args contains user ID 🙂 so you can easily.. for example display a div..containing the user’s description or another custom field in that area..

Does it make sense?
