Favourite a User's Profile / Private Following

Hi,

I’m creating a showcase/directory of artists for potential employers and I’m looking for a way for the emoloyers to create a private list of their favourite member’s profiles.

Similar to your bookmark plugin but saving profiles rather than posts. Alternatively is their a way of altering the “following” functionality so users can’t tell who’s following them and keeping the employers list private?
