I’ve purchased UserPro today and it looks fantastic. I am encoutering a minor issue that I can’t seem to get around after setting it up though:

whenever I try to create a new account or modify an existing one, I get this error message:

Error in jQuery.ajax while submitting a form: Not Acceptable

Any thoughts on how to solve this?

You are aware of the problem as several people have had the same issue. I didn’t touch the website for 5 months with the same theme and only updated to the latest version of your plugin and nothing else, thereafter having the ajax problem.
