Hello, is it possible to integrate UserPro with Disqus Comment System? When I clicked “Login with *my site name*”, Disqus redirect me to profile page. Any ideas? 😀
PS. UserPro is awesome <3
Hi there!
Can you customize the login link itself? Is it html link? If you can, I can tell you how to make it redirect to same page after login.
Hi Michal,
You need to enable single sign on for Disqus.
Read this tutorial: http://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/articles/1148635-setting-up-sso-on-wordpress
It will take some time though, because you need to write to Disqus support team. Once SSO is activated for your website and you’ve followed all the instructions Disqus will work with Userpro.
How it suppose to work: every time when a new user registers on your website, Disqus would create a profile for new user as well. Disqus will use the name and profile picture from Userpro.
The only problem: your comments will not be displayed in Userpro activity stream (e.g. Dmitry commented on topic Disquc integration). I wonder if Ahmed can figure out how to make it work? It’s strange we don’t have support for the commenting system which is used my the majority of WordPress websites. I hope Ahmed will consider it for future updates.
You can see how it works on our website: http://inspire.am/
You’ll need to register and then comment on any article you like. I hope it helps.Hello Michal,
I am wondering whether you have done some extra custom code to integrate DISQUS in your website. I would be interested and thankful how you are making the commenting system work for you. I think DISQUS is probably the best commenting system and widely used on WP sites.
Ahmed, do you know whether a comment activity, whether it is from DISQUS or native comment from WordPress should be shown on the Activity? Thanks.
