I am excited to get this function! However, when I export I get the same user repeated 100 times. It does not roll to the next member.
Every row is the same first user repeated endlessly.
Edit: The Columns are changing per user. So the export is using columns instead of rows and repeating exports 100 rows at a time.
So, rows are repeating and columns are changing users, but repeating in rows also. weird.
Yeah there are a few issues that I am experiencing when testing this out.
1) The same information for 1 person is repeated in every row.
2) Because users are not appearing below each other in the rows and instead are being placed left to right in the columns this means that now all the data has a header so difficult to know what data represents what field.
3) User information is appearing in the wrong columns. For example under the column which is meant to be first name is actually showing the url of the person’s profile picture.peem
Just letting you know so that you can fix these issues for official release
+1
The CVS export still mis-aligns information on my export. All columns still do not line up correctly. This causes all information to follow the messed up line to be off column.
Example: I don’t use Twitter, Facebook, etc.. my customers URL for their websites are showing in random columns among these.
I don’t know if the new export scripting can determine NULL (blank) inputs for some of the default fields I do not use. (Like I said, I have no idea if this is the cause…) (I don’t use profile photos, gender, etc…) So Peem’s #2 and #3 still exist.
Have you tried excluding certain fields or adding only the fields you want to show in the backend? What software are you using to show the CSV data? I had issues wih LibreOffice on Mac but google spreadsheets works well.
Can you give a screenshot of part of your spreadsheet so we can see what issues still exists?
I have made two settings one for include and another for exclude. These settings can help you precisely choose which fields to export.
Try to include only:
user_id,user_email,user_login
See if that works. Add the above value in Include these fields setting only.
Looks like it was the format when pulling it into OpenOffice. Thanks, it looks like importing it into Google documents works.
Thanks, my bad.
Would be nice to list the fields in check boxes so you just check the ones you want and that field list saves.
However, this is way better than a manual extract from the database! Thanks Ahmed!!
