Example:
example.com/profile/alexandreas -> now shows page title: ‘ My profile | Example.com ‘ instead of ‘ Alexander Dumas | Example.com ‘ (if the name of the user alexandreas is Alexander Dumas OR ‘ Alexandreas | Example.com ‘ if the user did not submit a name
At is shows the same no matter the /profile/username

Here are the issues:

1. Whenever I explore somebody else’s profile the name of the page is ‘My profile’ (or whatever you name the /profile page, it isn’t loading the name of the user.

2. It’s a bummer because if a few users share their profile page in the same place *let’s say on facebook*, all the links look kind of the same, instead of each showing the name of the user.

My workaround was to name the example.com/page just ‘Profile’, instead of ‘My Profile’, because it won’t be used just for my profile, but for all of them.

Did anybody find another workaround, I am missing smth ?

The problem is that wordpress doesn’t load in a dynamic way the name of the User whose page is accesed into the page title.
For example on this forum you and I an all of us have the same word as page title to all our profile pages. In this case, the words are ‘My profile’.

Imagine browsing a community and opening new tabs for a few members. All the tabs of your browser are gonna show “My profile – UserPro” “My profile – UserPro” … instead of “Rafilathif – Userpro”, “Nexnivis – Userpro”, “Iulian – Userpro”

Now did you spot the issue also ? 🙂
